Careers in Medicine (CiM) is a career planning program to help you choose a medical specialty as well as select and apply to a residency program. This process will guide you through the elements of career planning, including self-understanding, exploring a variety of medical careers, and finally choosing a specialty to meet your career objectives. This course is required for all medical students.

Associate Dean of Students, Chris Pelic, MD directs the Careers in Medicine course with a student run committee who assists to continually improve the curriculum. We look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Who knows if you will be the next radiologist, family physician, orthopedist or psychiatrist but we will sure help you find out.
The Program Director and Curriculum Coordinators will be available to assist the students for administrative questions, comments, or suggestions about Careers in Medicine. Questions concerning specific content can be directed to the particular lecturer or the Program Director, Dr. Pelic. Contact information for specific lecturers will be provided at each session.
